COMMITTEES AND THEIR SUBCOMMITTEES

Committees are the workhorses of our organization. All members are expected to serve on at least two committees. Some of our committees are administrative and others are service committees. Committees meet on a regular basis to review and plan projects and make regular reports to the Board of Directors and the membership at large.

Committees Purpose, Chair, and Subcommittees
Administration & Club Meetings Purpose: Provide the most effective club meetings possible.
Chairperson: Bob Schneidmiller, Bob Gambe, Jim Hitter
Subcommittees: Programs, Fellowship & Social, and Interclub Relations
Membership Development & Education Purpose: Increase club membership according to the standards provided in the Bylaws. Review membership application forms and submit recommendations to the Board of Directors. Develop an effective orientation and induction ceremony for new members and promote regular attendance by all members at club meetings.
Chairperson: Bob Gamble
Subcommittese: Orientation & Induction
Finance & Fundraising Purpose: Budget revenues and expenses for Board of Directors approval; ensure that the Club operates according the approved budgets; ensure, through revenue generating programs and events, that adequate funds are generated to meet revenue goals.
Chairperson: Bill Quirk
Subcommittees: Easter Brunch, Pet Day, Car Show Concessions, Kiwanis Golf Tournament, Park Concessions, Back to School BBQs, Liberty Lake Yard Sale & Food Booth, Father/Daughter Dance, Baileys Brigade and 4th of July Concessions
Community Service Purpose: Implement projects in support of the arts, business ethics, citizenship, civic improvement, community beautification, conservation, health, international understanding, literacy, public affairs, safety, or assistance to senior citizens and disabled persons.
Chairperson: Valorie Marschall & Jack Smith
Subcommittees: Kiwanis International Foundation, Golden K, Library — Spaghetti Feed, Library, Liberty Lake City Appreciation Breakfast, SIGN, Valley Food Bank, Centennial Trail, Meals on Wheels, Merry Glen, Christmas & Thanksgiving Families, Skip-A-Meal, Books & Reading, JDRF and Everyday Heroes
Human & Spiritual Values Purpose: Implement projects that support spiritual development, provide human companionship and comfort, or offer counseling and guidance. Encourage interfaith and interdenominational spiritual activity, such as prayer, but not in support of any specific religious sect.
Chairperson: Chuck Wigton
Subcommittees: None.
Public Relations Purpose: Ensure the public Is informed, through the media and other means, the objects, goals, programs and achievements of Kiwanis International and the Club.
Chairperson: Judi Owens
Subcommittees: Newsletter, E-Newsletter and Web Development
Sponsored Youth Programs Purpose: Establish and support K-Kids clubs in elementary schools, Builders Clubs in junior high or middle schools, Key Clubs in high schools, and Circle K Clubs in the universities and colleges; encourage and promote the activities of all Aktion clubs, K-Kids, Builders Clubs, Key Clubs, and Circle K Clubs sponsored by this Club.

Subcommittees: K-Kids, Key Club and Builders Club
Young Children: Priority One (YCPO) Purpose: Implement projects for young children, prenatal though age five. Promote maternal and child health, childcare, early development, nutrition, parenting, education and support, children's advocacy, and/or pediatric safety.

Subcommittees: Lend-a-Crib, Success by Six
Youth Services Purpose: Implement projects that address the needs of school-aged youth. Promote academic achievement, advocacy, career exploration, character building and citizenship, club activities, health, hobbies, leadership development, literacy, mentoring, drug abuse prevention, and/or sports and recreation.

Subcommittees: Scholarship, Junior Achievement, Paint-a-Helmet, Writers in Residence, Breakfast for Teachers, Easter Egg Hunt, Ludlow Golf Tournament, Key Leader, Barker High School, Bike Rodeo (SCOPE), LLES Book Fair, LL Citizenship Awards, LLES Too Cool For Drugs, Little League, Greenacres Elementary School, McGruff, Washington Law Enforcement Camp
